To make honey syrup, combine honey and hot water in a small bowl. Stir until the honey completely dissolves.

Honey Syrup

1 cup honey

⅓ cup hot water


¾ oz fresh lemon juice

¾ oz honey syrup

2 oz bourbon


Add the hot water and honey into a small bowl. Stir until the honey dissolves. Store any unused portion in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Combine the lemon juice, honey syrup and bourbon in a cocktail shaker. Shake well for 10 seconds.

Strain and serve over ice.
